"Resident Evil: Retribution" Review

I will be the first to admit I am a HUGE "Resident Evil" addict. I played a few of the video games, just like most teenagers who had nothing else to do. This movie, just like all the others in the franchise, stars Milla Jovovich as Alice a.k.a. Project Alice. It takes off where the last film ended and as all of you can tell some key characters from past films have made a come back, but because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, I won't tell you how .

Now, I hate to break it to you guys but this review won't be nearly as long as the others seeing as I suffered a black widow bite and have been quite ill as a result. I have a few more movies I've seen since that I have yet to write about.

Anyways, in this movie you'll see one of the beloved characters from the games make her first appearance in the films.  To disappoint you all though I will have to be completely honest. While the movie was actually really good as was the soundtrack and the action sequences, the franchise could have done without this one. To me, and my boyfriend who went and saw this with me, it was what we are going to coin it as a "filler movie." Good, but not necessary to the plot and could've been done as part of a more essential movie to the franchise and not a whole movie.

Unfortunately this is all I really have to say about it, but not because that was my full opinion, but because I am just way to exhausted to continue typing. If you do end up seeing it though remember that just because it was a "filler movie" doesn't mean it wasn't a good movie. Just not necessary.
